Statement
There is an exquisite poetics in the humble plumbing system that is often overlooked. Even a modest architecture, stripped down to reveal the interlocking pattern of infrastructure, would present a curious complexity of symbioses and design. These networks function as an extension of our own bodies, as we rely on plumbing for everything from sustenance to hygiene. In my research I am examining the strong empathic connection between the vocabularies of industrial and human plumbing.
