Statement
The work “Mixing the Liquids” is inspired by the human blood circulation system. Although being abstract, the form engenders empathy and evokes connotation to the heart and internal organs. The color red and blue represent arterial and venous blood and refer to the medical diagrams of the human blood circulation. By casting with differently colored clay into the mould at the same time the material gets mixed. Through this the process expresses the exchange taking place in the capillaries, and process becomes content.
